Koketsu ended short of stating – when the making of the existing generation of the four-wheel drive sedan would stop; however, the indications from Mitsubishi for a while have suggested to its extinction.

Through association with Renault-Nissan, the brand has revealed plans to acquire its sedan product lines, allowing the in-house endeavor to concentrate mainly on its core strengths of Ute’s and SUVs, and its focus on increasing the electric vehicle range.
